課程概述

本課程為組織理論與管理在衛生政策及健康產業的理論與實務之入門課程，主題內容涵蓋管理程序的各種層面以及組織理論相關的重要內容，共包含演講與個案討論的兩部份。
This is an introduction course to organizational theory and management in health policy and health industry. Both theory and application in major topics of management process and organizational theories will be covered. It is designed by lecture and case discussion for each topic. 

課程目標
 本課程的目標包括1. 說明、檢視與解釋管理與組織理論的各種原則；2. 應用上述的主要概念，例如組織設計、規劃與控制等功能，使當代的健康照護組織有效運作；3.協助學生了解影響管理決策的環境與組織間的交互影響；4. 替未來更深入的特定內容與課程來鋪路。
The objectives of this course are: (1) to identify, examine, and explain the principles of management and organizational theories; (2) to apply those key concepts regarding the designing, planning and controlling functions required for an effective operation on contemporary health services organizations; (3) to help develop an appreciation regarding the interplay of environmental and organizational factors that affect managerial discretion in decision-making; and (4) to pave the way for advanced studies regarding specific topics in the future. 
課程要求
 1.學生應準時到課，作為期末評分之加分依據
2.每人需要寫六次的個人作業，從三位老師的內容中各選取兩個主題來寫。參照討論問題寫閱讀心得，含內容重點、會的部分以及想問的部分1-2頁
3.全班依照MS與MPH學生的背景共分為6組，依公告的小組負責題目做課前小組報告，以用PPT呈現為主，每組每次報告5-8分鐘(5分鐘時會提醒一次)，最多絕不可超過10分鐘。
4.期末報告以個案討論為主，由老師提供，進行個案分析與討論，呈現口頭報告與書面結果。
Students should come to the class on time and the attendance rate will be considered for rating student performance.
Each student has to submit six homework assignments from three teacher, each for two topics. It need to cover major point from preview, what you know and what you want to ask for teacher.
All students from different background are classified into 8 groups. Case study will be held in selected topics. Each group will present for two cases and four groups in one case will presents 10-12 minutes each time.
Student need to find matching group in final report. Case writing, a movie, a book or journal articles will be potential materials for final report.
